"I wish alcohol was calorie free . . ."

-or-

Things I wish I hadn't said aloud.

I got to schmooze with the big cheese this morning. In other words, I had an interview at the uni. I don't really want to blog about it because I feel like that will jinx it. However, it was the most chill I've ever felt before, during, and after an interview. Granted I spent all of yesterday studying interviewing tips and reading about the office where I applied - but this morning, sitting outside the office - no butterflies, no nervousness, no urge to run out the door. Meh. Now, in keeping with the title (or rather, subtitle) of this blog, they did ask one question to which I wish I had either kept to myself or lied.

Them: "What are the two tasks you least enjoy doing?"
Me: "Hm. I didn't enjoy dusting at the bookstore."

Seriously - what are you supposed to say at an interview for an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT job? "I don't really like doing those things that other people don't have time for - like filing, copying, typing, answering phones . . . you know. I don't enjoy working, actually. I'd much rather stay home and watch Weeds. So those would be the two tasks." Come on. Really, all I've ever "not enjoyed" doing was being a chummy, pushy, phony salesperson at the bookstore. And dusting. So I was honest.

Let's hope my *cough* midwestern farm-charm . . . or something like that, won them over.

Some closing notes:
-watch Weeds Season 2. you will bust a gut, then be begging for Season 3.
-i wish i could have been a cast member of arrested development.
-i need to apply for more jobs. out.

Song lyrics to categorize present life.

I'm gonna let the bad times roll:
I flooded the laundry room yesterday.
I have applied for 21 jobs in the past 10 days.
Whoever said a Psychology degree can be used for anything - LIED.
I overdrew my bank account last weekend.
No one has bought my car.

Are you having a good time:
My sister is awesome and got me Weeds Season 2 for my birthday.
Incubus is playing here soon, and I missed their Red Rocks show this summer.
I ordered 4 CDs, and they have been shipped.
I like Arizona.

By the time I get to Arizona,

You'll be falling from my grace.
- Halloween Alaska

check it.

Well helloooooooo blogging world . . . all two of you. I must first apologize for leaving you with a blog about, uh, and . . . things. Two months is far too long for these, uh, topics to remain listed.

This blog is pretty pointless now that I live with the main reader. SO I may change up the content . . . maybe to test out poems or, more pertinent to my current predicament, cover letters and whatnot. Oh come on, you know you're EX-CIT-ED. I shouldn't blog when I'm sleepy.

Um, maybe more tomorrow . . . wow, I've turned into Boring Haley.
